I came home from work and saw a new car in the driveway. I thought, “What the heck? Did Shawn buy a new car without telling me?” But no, it turns out he had rented it for a surprise trip down to Tampa, Florida.
We ended up in this beautiful oceanfront suite—an unexpected upgrade from the regular room we booked. Instead of the usual holiday chaos, we spent our days by the pool, listening to a live band, and simply enjoying each other’s company. That spontaneous Thanksgiving, just the two of us, became one of our most cherished memories.
