"It felt like home away from home"
We have just returned home after a month stay at the Escape at Windswept in Kiawah Island. The minute we walked in the unit it felt like home away from home. We have been coming to Kiawah for over 30 years and this stay was amazing. The Lawsons are very professional and great to work with in planning our stay.
"The villa is so close to the beach!"
Hosts Shawn and Jeanette were so lovely to communicate with.Their home was perfectly appointed and was a lovely two week stay. I wanted for nothing and would have stayed longer had my schedule permitted. The villa is perfect for 1 person or a couple and is so close to the beach. I can’t wait to return to one of their properties again!

This is our fourth time renting from KIG and our third time staying in the BREEZE….it never disappoints. The place is absolutely gorgeous and spotless. We arrive as a family of four and bring the four grandparents – all eight of us fit quite comfortably. The loft is a magical spot for two kids, complete with nooks and places for them to play and discover. KIG is the best company that we have ever rented from – they specialize in luxury rentals. We leave our dog with friends and make that sacrifice, knowing that we will be staying in a luxury villa. This is an oceanfront property with a killer view and a deck where the whole family can live. I can’t say enough about Jeanette and Shawn and all of their properties. Look no further.

Beautifully redone Seascape unit – we have stayed in seascape units many times over the years but Ocean Blue is by far the most luxurious. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Used Groceries Ahead as well and everything was so easy.
"Lovely venue, outstanding vistas and access to the beach"
Lovely venue, outstanding vistas and access to the beach. The two king bedrooms on the upper floor are spacious and have beautiful views. The small bedroom with two non-movable twin beds on the lower floor are suitable for children. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with equipment and spices. There are no cupboards available to put purchased non-refrigerated food items so they end up filling up the kitchen counter–so my only small suggestion for this incredible apartment would be to have a closet made available to guest use for this. Otherwise this is a really luxurious place to stay with very responsive owners who kindly ran interference when our Blue Apron box was delivered to the wrong address and immediately and knowledgeably responded to our call when a rare island-wide and fortunately short power outage occurred.

I worked with Jeanette from Kiawah Island Getaways for the first time during my last trip to Kiawah and the entire process was seamless. Her attention to detail was impeccable and was always responsive to any questions. From the information shared pre-visit to the welcome bouquet, you got the sense that they wanted to make you feel at home on a special island. The property itself was clean, tastefully decorated and well-appointed with everything you could possibly need (from beach koozies and frozen beer mugs to down pillows in a variety of fill levels). Highly recommend Kiawah Island Getaways for your next trip – already planning our next visit. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!
"The house was furnished as a home and not a rental property"
We rented The Breeze at Seascape through Kiawah Island Getaways and were incredibly pleased with the experience and the location. The Breeze is a well-appointed luxury home. The house was furnished as a home and not a rental property and we enjoyed the thoughtful details. The kitchen exceeded our expectations not only in equipment but also in a well stock pantry. Even the chefs in the family were pleased.
Shawn and Jeanette were lovely to work with providing timely communication and helpful suggestions. While we were there, we had a minor mishap and Jeanette kindly and graciously assisted us in sorting it out. Their service and attention to details along with the luxury home and fabulous setting made our family getaway a delightful experience.
Our only minor negative issue was the final payment requires a check be mail. I had to search for the checkbook and a stamp. But I now know where the checkbook is for the next time we stay with Kiawah Island Getaways.
"Apartment is right on the beach!"
Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and perfectly appointed apt right on the beach. The agents have thought of everything, including the annoying things that you forgot to buy like saran wrap, olive oil, vinegar, sugar substitute even spices are in the well-stocked cupboards. Every pot and pan and utensil that you can think of is there. Bikes and beach chairs can be rented also. Highly recommended.
