Shopping on Kiawah Island

Freshfields Village
Located just off the island at the traffic circle. This shopping area is a terrific place to spend the afternoon. Whether you are there to pick up some bagels for breakfast, or to shop for that elegant new outfit to wear out for dinner at the Sanctuary. It has all the basics, such as a deluxe full-service grocery store, restaurants, banks, a gas station, a real estate office and a pharmacy, as well as many other wonderful shops. Something for everyone in your family.

Kiawah Island Farmers Market
The Farmers Market takes place every week in the summer on the square at Freshfields Village. Here you can shop for everything from cantelope to frilly purses! Talk with the vendors – most of them have either grown or crafted their own wares. Pick up a bag of fresh Kettle Korn!

The Shops at The Sanctuary
Shops at the island’s 5-star hotel include an art gallery, a pro shop, a gourmet shop, a logo shop as well as a few clothing boutiques. Have fun exploring!

Bohicket Marina
Shops and restaurants abound at Bohicket Marina (located just past Freshfields Village, on the way to Seabrook Island). Here, you will also find boat tours and rentals, fishing charters, and beautiful water views. Enjoy a leisurely stroll down the waterside promenade and see all the sailboats, motor boats and yachts as well as a pelican or two.

The General Store
Located at the entrance to the Kiawah, just outside the Main Security Gate the General Store has all the essentials: beer, wine, chips, fried chicken (Delicious! Perfect for your picnics!), suntan lotion, beach supplies, etc. They also sell gasoline.
