The Penthouse at Windswept was absolutely perfect for our family getaway. Every detail was attended to so that we could truly relax and enjoy our family time. We especially enjoyed the super comfy beds and spectacular views from every room. The well-stocked kitchen and game cabinet were a huge plus, too!

We were 2 couples with an additional friend who stayed for several days in April. The villa was in perfect shape and offered all of the amenities that one would look for on Kiawah. Everything was made easy and with luxury. In addition, any and all of our questions were answered promptly. Loved our stay and can’t wait to return!

They really have this figured out! The villa had everything we would ever need and was so clean and well put together. Will be coming back!

This place exceeded our expectations and was an amazing place for a get away. The details and decorating were beyond any rental we've ever stayed in. Plus, the views from the patio and upper bedrooms were phenomenal. It was wonderful to wake up to the sunrise every morning. The communication with the owner was a bit cold and unfriendly, but she responded quickly to any question. The check-out process was also a bit more complicated than any we've experience... needed to go through an online checklist to confirm we did everything we were supposed to do before leaving. Other than this it was a wonderful experience and we'd highly recommend it!

A week in paradise! Jeanette and Shawn are the perfect hosts. All your needs are met and the unit is always in perfect condition!

First time in Kiawah and staying with Shawn and Jeanette but hopefully many more in the future. The inside was literally stunning and you can’t beat the proximity to the beach. The beds were also the most comfortable I’ve had at a rental property. They’ve thought of everything you need and are clear in the check in and check out procedures. Overall a fabulous experience.

We had a wonderful time during our stay in this property. It is SO beautifully appointed; truly looks like it’s straight out of a magazine. The views of the beach are stunning. We enjoyed family bike rides on the island paths and the wide open beach. So much wonderful nature to take in on this magical island. The owners were fantastic and friendly and we will be staying at their properties every time we visit from now on!

It’s a great location and a lovely place. Extremely clean and well organized. Be prepared though to strip the beds, start the sheets, start the dishwasher, and empty trash.

Kiawah Island Getaways has it all together! When walking in you could feel the comfort, warmth, and wow! It was so nice to be able to work with the Lawsons directly on questions and needs....I would not hesitate to stay in any of their properties, unseen!

My three friends and I experienced five glorious days in this penthouse and it was so beautifully decorated and was like my home away from home. It was pure luxury with our hosts thinking of every single thing I could possibly need. Whenever I reached out with a question, I received an immediate response. I will definitely return and highly recommend it. I know they didn't order the beautiful weather and glorious sunrises, but ... did they?

You won't be disappointed with this immaculate beachfront rental! The penthouse is exactly as pictured with two oceanfront suites and another bedroom downstairs. The ocean views from most rooms are stunning and it's a quick 2 minute walk to the beach! This is a great rental!

What a wonderful few days with our elderly parents! We’ve been coming to Kiawah for 24 years and this beautiful beachfront villa was our favorite! Luxury accommodations from towels, supplied kitchen, extras all around and extremely comfortable beds! Decor top notch! Thank you!!!

Our recent stay on Kiawah Island in the Penthouse at Windswept was truly perfect. Everything was as advertised and then some. The place was very clean updated and luxurious. Ocean views are fabulous. Jeanette and Shawn left no detail uncovered. Beginning a couple weeks out, they provided all the information we would need plus some wonderful tips about the area. Their amazing attention to detail showed up in everything from the home to the communication they sent. We would love to go back for a longer stay. We will definitely seek out Kiawah Island Getaways for our next visit.

This was a truly spectacular experience, the Penthouse at Windswept is literally the most beautifully appointed, clean with breath-taking sweeping ocean views. We stayed April 2021 as native Carolinians we have many options for a beachfront getaways but rest assured we will only stay in a Kiawah Getaway property henceforth. The attention to detail, professionalism and responsiveness is unparalleled, the proximity and ease of getting to the beach... this property appeals to those wanting an exclusive experience and trust, it delivers - in a pure 1st class fashion. Saying we loved every minute seems just not enough 🙂

Lovely venue, outstanding vistas and access to the beach. The two king bedrooms on the upper floor are spacious and have beautiful views. The small bedroom with two non-movable twin beds on the lower floor are suitable for children. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with equipment and spices. There are no cupboards available to put purchased non-refrigerated food items so they end up filling up the kitchen counter–so my only small suggestion for this incredible apartment would be to have a closet made available to guest use for this. Otherwise this is a really luxurious place to stay with very responsive owners who kindly ran interference when our Blue Apron box was delivered to the wrong address and immediately and knowledgeably responded to our call when a rare island-wide and fortunately short power outage occurred.

Clean, superbly decorated, high-end bedding, fresh flowers – everything you need for a great ‘home away from home’ vacation. And the view was stunning….

Family had a great time. Steps from the beach, plenty of biking trails. Property had up to date furnishings and was very clean. Not allowed to use community pool since we rented through VRBO, but after looking back, pool was not listed as an amenity. Overall, great trip and rental was excellent.

We could not have had a more incredible stay at The Penthouse at Windswept! This is our second time using Kiawah Island Getaways, and there was not a single detail unattended to during our stay. The modern accommodations were elegant and perfectly clean, the oceanfront views were breathtaking, and beautiful fresh flowers were again waiting for us upon our arrival. I have been coming to Kiawah most summers since I was a young child, and we have finally found our perfect rental company; we are already looking forward to our next stay, many thanks again for a marvelous vacation!

This was our first experience with Kiawah Island Getaways (KIG) after using other property management companies on the Island.

KIG provided a high quality property, special cleaning procedures during the pandemic, responsive service when there were mechanical issues with the HVAC.

We enjoyed a very restful beach view experience following 9 weeks of pandemic shutdown. I highly recommend KIG and will use them from now on.

The Penthouse was gorgeous! It was a seamless process for check-in. The owners communicated before during and after our stay. They followed up promptly to my questions. This is the first time at this penthouse. I have stayed at other penthouses in Kiawah- this one is by far the nicest! Beautifully decorated every item thought if that you would need for your stay. All you need to do is arrive for a fantastic stay on Kiawah.

The Penthouse at Windswept was fabulous!!! It is beautifully decorated, well appointed, has a spectacular view, the owners are wonderful and very responsive! I would rent from them again and hope to in the near future! I give this place a 5 plus out of a 5. Loved everything about it!!
