Everything was as described and expected. We had a wonderful experience with the hosts and look forward to coming back.

This was last minute booking for us, but what a surprise! The Shade is well appointed, close to the beach, and no bugs (per my wife). We will definitely return again.

3rd or 4th time we have rented from Kiawah Island Getaways, and each time have stayed at "The Shade". The rental experience from Kiawah Getaways is always seamless. You can tell it is a "family" business by the quickness in which questions are answered, and the details that are provided. The Shade itself is perfect for my wife and I. Every possible need is there for your use from the can koozies to a great kitchen.......and the place is always amazingly clean. A very short 3-4 minute walk and we are on the amazing beach !! We will not rent from anyone else for our next Kiawah visit.

Every detail of this property was well thought out and as advertised. No need to bring stuff...The Shade at Seascape was a home away from home. This 1 bedroom villa was a perfect romantic getaway. We had a little noise from an upstairs neighbor early one morning. no worries. We loved the covered patio and enjoyed the daily deer visits and even a hawk sighting. The sounds of nature are intriguing in the SC Lowcountry. Proximity to the beach was as promised...a short walk. Parking was very close which is always a bonus. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience all that the Shade at Seascape has to offer.

One bedroom first floor was a suitable size for two adults. Nicely furnished, full amenities, 200 ft from the beach, comfortable large bed, nice screened porch with good airflow, and manager easy to reach by phone.

This is the perfect place for two. This superbly furnished property is small but not cramped and just three minutes away from the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shade! The interior is finished to a high standard and we were quite comfortable. The hosts have thought of everything. The beach is a very short walk; we could hear the ocean from the porch.

We stayed at The Shade at Seascape which was on the ground level and very close to the beach. We loved it! The place was very stocked with all of the amenities you would need. One thing that set this experience apart is that the owners were very responsive and had great communication. They even gave us a week’s supply of things like dish and laundry soap, toilet paper, trash bags , paper towels and shampoo and body wash. We even had fresh flowers waiting on is and a personalized note upon our arrival! Things like this will have us coming back again using this company! Exceptional!!!

One of the best vacations we’ve ever had. Our Getaway stay was top notch. Beautifully designed and decorated. Comfortable and I especially appreciated all the thoughtful information provided in the emails. A+!

We are about to head out and I want to sit here in your villa and think back on our vacation. We picked a most excellent vacation destination when we selected Kiawah and more specifically the Shade villa. We could not have been more pleased. This villa is so well cared for. The linens are top quality, the kitchen is filled with everything one would need to enjoy meals at home. With literally steps away from the beach we enjoyed the sounds of the waves and spent hours sitting on the beach and enjoying the scenery and making new friends. We felt very safe and hope to return one day. Thank you for your attention to detail and making sure we had everything we needed. The communication you provide your guests before, during and I am sure after we leave has been reassuring and comforting to us.

We loved The Shade! It was perfect for two people, conveniently located to the beach, beautifully decorated and well equipped kitchen. The check in and check out process was seamless. We will definitely be back. Great job Jeanette and Shawn!

This villa is a 3 minute walk to the ocean and right by the Cougar Point clubhouse and the Kiawah conference center. It's very clean and feels like it has been updated recently. It's rather small but all you really need for one or two people if you don't plan on spending a lot of time indoors.

Easy check in process, updated and very clean accommodations, very short walk to the beach. Great spot!

Everything was perfect. So clean and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, cookware, and spices. An added detail of legos for our two year old and books for my husband to read. The screened in porch is absolutely lovely and peaceful. Very short walk to the beach and shaded bike/walk path. Definitely recommend!

This property exceeded our expectations! It was clean, organized, beautiful and totally updated. We loved the electronic keypad. The appliances were top of the line. Everything was labeled, including with directions. Decor was tasteful not overdone. Perfect!

I hesitate to give the property 5 stars, because I don't want anyone to stay there but us! We live within 90 min of Kiawha and have been going there for years. This villa is the best for two people we have stayed in. The welcome book is terrific, especially for first timers. The layout for this size typical villa of Kiawha was unique and perfect. Many tasteful upgrades had been made. This place had EVERY possible item of use one could ask to be provided. It was very clean and in a great location. The distance to the beach was 2 min 27.45 sec - with a gait length of 20.5 inches and no wind factor in play 🙂

Stayed with my daughter on her pre wedding night while she stayed on with her hubby on their wedding night. It was the ideal getaway for them. And we were very pleased with how clean, comfortable, and well equipped the place was. Everything was spot on and the place was very cozy and welcoming. The bed was also super comfortable and soft. We'll definitely be back!

My wife and I spent 6 days on Kiawah Island at an apartment rented through Kiawah Island Getaways - the Shade at Seascape. It's a one bedroom a very short walk from the ocean. The accommodations were top notch: comfortable King bed, two sink bathroom, giant rainfall shower, well supplied kitchen, a welcoming flower arrangement. In addition, shampoo and body wash were in ample supply, the modern washer and dryer came with detergent as did the Bosch dishwasher. Probably the most remarkable example of the service our hosts provide occurred when I notified them that the Keurig coffee maker wasn't working. A replacement was delivered so fast that I could still enjoy my morning cups! This is a wonderful place for a couple to stay.

Our stay at Kiawah Island was a magical experience for my family and me. The service we received was top-notch. I was amazed at how logistically simple the check-in and check-out process was. This villa was perfect for me and my family. The location was a few steps away from the beach. We look forward to returning next year.

Hosts Shawn and Jeanette were so lovely to communicate with.Their home was perfectly appointed and was a lovely two week stay. I wanted for nothing and would have stayed longer had my schedule permitted. The villa is perfect for 1 person or a couple and is so close to the beach. I can't wait to return to one of their properties again!

We were very happy with the Shade at Seascape Villa. We spent a wonderful week in Kiawah and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The villa was very clean and neatly organized and decorated. All the necessary utensils and other kitchen items were provided for all the meals we cooked during our stay. Shawn and Jeanette were friendly and helpful with many details. We enjoyed the bike rides on the beach. We love the fact that the beach was a convenient two minute walk from our door. We plan to return with friends in the future!

This past week, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at The Shade at Seascape on Kiawah Island. We had to go to the Charleston area for business but were not particularly looking forward to the trip due to our apprehension with Covid 19. Unfortunately we could not put the trip off. From the moment we made our booking through Kiawah Island Getaways, we were put at ease.

The Shade, although compact in size, was newly updated with all the amenities we desired. This was important for many reasons but mostly because we knew we would be spending a good deal of our time there cooking and relaxing.

Maybe ten minutes after our booking, we received a call from Shawn, the managing agent (and I believe part owner along with with his wife Jeanette) at Kiawah Island Getaways, I explained my apprehension, and he assured me their staff followed strict protocols regarding cleaning and disinfecting of all contact surfaces.

True to his word, when we arrived, the place was spotless and smelled as though it had been thoroughly scrubbed! Usually with a rental, you need to run immediately to the store for the basic necessities: toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry soap, etc, At the Shade, these items were stocked!! The dishwasher and washing machine were spotless. The kitchen was full of quality appliances both large and small.

The villa was very tastefully decorated, and a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers greeted us along with soothing music. A binder listed recommended activities, restaurants and places to shop. Honestly, there really was not a thing we lacked. For relaxation, Kiawah’s breathtaking beaches were less than a 2-3 minute stroll. And if you felt too lazy to go to the beach, the villa had a cozy screened in porch with Adirondack chairs and a ceiling fan for those hot August days!! As you might guess, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be returning!

We loved our long weekend in this beautiful home. We enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the well-appointed kitchen that offered the ability to cook at home. Our favorite spot was the tranquil screened-in porch, which allowed us to hear the ocean, feel the breeze, and spend time together off the beach. We hope to be back soon!

Shawn and Jeanette are very quick to respond to inquiries and have beautiful rental properties. We loved staying at The Shade and we had an opportunity to check out their other properties to plan for our next visit. Each one is tastefully decorated and very clean thanks to Danielle and her staff. They have each one stocked with just about everything you need including puzzles, games, spices, cookware, cleaning supplies, paper goods, cooler, soft absorbent bath towels and fabulously comfortable beds. They accommodated us at the last moment when our travel plans changed and we needed a place to stay and we really wanted to be on Kiawah. They even set up our bicycle rentals. They provide all of the information that you need for a smooth and memorable vacation. Thanks again for the beautiful fresh flowers that welcomed us and warmed our hearts!

EVERY aspect of this rental exceeded our expectations from the communication before arrival to the comfortable bed and adorable cottage feel. It was all superb. We loved all the restaurant and activity suggestions. Attention to detail here cannot be stressed enough. We would book here again in a heartbeat.
