If you’ve ever had a bad experience with vacation rentals, or if you’ve never experienced vacation rentals, this is the company for you! I’ve stayed with KIG several times over the past few years. Each time I’ve rented a different place and each place has been absolutely luxurious. The properties that Kiawah Island Getaways offer are vetted (take a close look at the website as it describes their processes). The properties are all close to, or on the beach. They are high end, extremely clean, and the beds and other furnishings feel as comfortable as home - right down to the kitchenware! They also expect their renters to care for the properties and have respect for the island - which further enhances the experience. Kiawah Island Getaways is a truly wonderful family owned business. The quality of the rental experience can make or break a whole vacation, so don’t settle for less when you book. If you’re thinking about a “getaway” to Kiawah, look no further and truly enjoy the island life experience. My wife and I will be coming back again, and again to our home away from home!

We will be forever grateful to Jeannette for saving our family vacation. We had a last minute reservation and they were responsive, accommodating, and very helpful. Their place was perfectly decorated, had a great layout for a family of 6, was spotlessly clean, was very close to the beach and a private pool, as well as the entrance to kiawah. It made our trips to Charleston so much quicker than expected. We will definitely stay here again on our next vacation to kiawah. Book now if on the fence!!! You will not regret ??

Fantastic home! Layout, appliances, kitchen supplies, beds, plenty of space, decor, and location are all A++. Kiawah Island Getaways is awesome; They deliver as promised!

Their properties are amazing! My husband and I used to stay in the hotel on the island for our annual Kiawah trip, but as our family grew we needed more space than a hotel room. We have stayed at 3 of their properties and their attention to detail is exceptional. You can tell they truly care about each property by the details that are in each property along with the investments they make to ensure you have a luxurious stay (high end appliances, bedding, etc)

Everything was perfect. The property was immaculate. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms for the whole family. Check in and check out were very simple. I would definitely stay there again when renting at Kiawah. We’ve been going to Kiawah for over thirty years now and I think this is one of the best rentals I’ve had on the island.

Place was clean, plenty of room, Great kitchen for cooking. Loved the grill! About 5 minute walk to beach. It was awesome!

This unit was a quick walk to the beach, tucked away at the end of a cul de sac and beautifully appointed! Everything you needed for a beach stay with family was here. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked . Beach towels, cooler, even a beach bag were provided. Handy binders of info about dining and outings were appreciated. Communication was wonderful!

We had a lovely time at the Shell Seeker. The home was better than pictured, the kitchen had everything you could possibly need (and then some), proximity to the pool and the beach were great for us and our littles, and the owners were very gracious hosts. Would definitely stay here again!

My family (two adults, three young kids) stayed at a Kiawah Island Getaways property for our summer vacation. The unit (The Shell Seeker) was in excellent condition and had pretty much everything a young family needs for a nice vacation. The property managers were responsive and helpful. We absolutely plan to stay here again.

We spent 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend with our two kids - ages 3 & 8. The property is beautifully decorated and kitchen is well stocked. Beds and pillows all comfy. We ate all our breakfasts in the home and we enjoyed all the appliances we needed to feel like home. Blender, toaster, multiple pitchers for our iced tea and fruit infused water. It really is a great set up. You will want a bike with a trailer to take anything to the beach as it’s a bit of a walk to lug bags and toys. Once at the beach entrance, we parked our bikes there then it’s another 150 yards (?) until you hit the sand. You can rent chairs and umbrellas at the beach but they are set out only 10am-5pm. We enjoyed the natural beauty of the island and the community of this property. We saw an alligator in the wild, blue heron, and we heard whip-por-wills nightly.

"What can I say but GO! Go now to Kiawah Island. We stayed at the “The Shell Seeker at Sparrow Pond” in May 2018. The house is fantastic! It was a perfect layout for two couples (two master suites) and a third bedroom for kids with the third bathroom. The screened in porch was a great place to start the day. Claw foot soaking tab was a great way to end it.
The kitchen was phenomenal. Top notch appliances, perfect layout and great stove. This beautiful house was in a quiet area and close to a great beach. Make sure and rent bikes for the beach and bike trails.
Shawn and Jeanette Lawson were great to work with for the renting of this property from Kiawah Island Getaways. We will definitely rent from them again."
