The Vista at Shipwatch Toggle favorite

The Vista is cozy, beautiful and well-appointed. We love being surrounded by books and artifacts from your travels. Your notebook was helpful. This visit we went to the CSS Hunley museum because we think we are related to a sailor on the USS Housatonic who was captured after it was rammed by the sub. This visit we made good use of The Nest Marketplace dinners to go.

We have stayed with Kiawah Island Getaways multiple times, and the experience never fails to be exquisite! The Vista was no exception. The decor is on point and the amenities meet every need you could imagine to make it feel like home away from home. From ample counter space in the bathroom to an electric tea kettle to the perfectly plump pillows, they thought of every detail to make us more than comfortable. On top of all that, Jeanette left us some beautiful birthday/anniversary flowers and yummy deviled eggs as a thoughtful welcome. The ocean views from the Vista are stunning, while the deck offers the perfect spot for a glorious sunrise breakfast or romantic pre-dinner cocktail. Thanks again for an amazing vacation on Kiawah!

Extraordinary private villa that is maintained exceptionally well. This property has beautiful unobstructed ocean views and is very private. This was our second visit. My wife and I are extremely happy with the experience. There’s plenty to see and do on the island, or if you choose, you can comfortably relax on your own private balcony.

This is a great location and the Villa is wonderful. Well equipped and very comfortable. The views are spectacular. We have stayed in a couple of their properties and the attention to detail has brought us back. We will be planning another trip for sure!!

The weather was perfect, the villa was perfect for two people, the view from the room was perfect and it has the perfect beach to walk and ride on. We will be back!

This is our 3rd stay at The Vista at Shipwatch, and the fifth time overall we have stayed at one of the properties offered by KIG. Their commitment to quality, cleanliness, and customer service is unparalleled. Each property is beautifully decorated, and so welcoming. You won't feel like you are renting; instead you'll feel like you are home. The volume of information you'll find in the notebook regarding the property, local eateries, and nearby activities are yet another example of the thorough thoughtfulness the Lawson's intent to assure a wonderful vacation.

As for the Vista at Shipwatch, it is simply beautiful, inside and out. Exquisitely designed, high quality, interiors combined with a high level of cleanliness leave one as happy to remain in the villa as to being outside enjoying the amazingly wide flat beach.

There are miles of walking, whether on the beach or on trails, great golf courses on the Island or nearby, plenty of places to rent a boat for pleasure or fishing, and nearby Charleston offers great restaurants and interesting sites to visit.

You will be so happy to have visited The Vista or other KIG properties, and you'll be booking a future stay!

This villa is beautifully appointed with floor to ceiling views of the ocean. Special touches throughout. Comfortable and highly relaxing. The owners have thought of everything and then some to make this an enjoyable stay.

If you are looking for a one bedroom five star rental property on Kiawah Island do yourself and your loved one a favor and stay at The Vista. You will be more than happy that you did! My wife and I both highly recommend staying here or at one of their other properties. We just returned from a wonderful seven night stay! This was our second stay at The Vista property. It is a comfortable, exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated property with elegant artwork and high end furniture. EVERYTHING that you will need during your stay has been provided. The kitchen, living room and bedroom all offer an amazing floor to ceiling view of the ocean. The beach is only a short one minute walk away! Shawn and Jeanette, owners of Kiawah Island Getaways, are great to work with. They know Kiawah better than anyone and will answer any questions that you may have in a timely manner. The reservation process was so easy. We will be back in October!

We saw a spectacular video, back in November 2018 of a romantic, gorgeous villa overlooking the ocean at The Vista, at Shipwatch. We immediately reached out to Kiawah Island Getaways and inquired about it. They could not have been more helpful!! We booked Easter week, Saturday to Saturday. When we arrived and entered the villa, we realized that it was sooo much better than we had hoped for, and we hoped for the perfect place. We rented bikes and beach chairs with the coordination of Kiawah Island Getaways. We were given there cell phone numbers and advised to call or text them whenever we had a question or problem. Shawn and Jeanette Lawson, of Kiawah Island Getaways, whom I’ve never met, but spoke to or texted them each, several times over the course of the months prior to our vacation, could not have been more pleasant, helpful, professional and filled with that southern charm and hospitality. (We’re from Jersey and that’s tough to find here). It truly was the best vacation we’ve ever had. Check this place out, it’s beautiful and sooooo relaxing.

My husband and I recently spent four wonderful nights at the Vista Villa and were so very sad to leave! We came to celebrate a very special anniversary and to “unplug” and get away from it all for a while. I had been looking for a nice, quiet, romantic place where we could hear the ocean while we slept. Not only did we get all of that, but so much more!

The Villa looks just like the pictures…is beautifully decorated and you can see and hear the ocean from every room and the most comfortable bed! We were also lucky enough to see the family of deer in the dunes right outside of our window!!

Jeanette answered all of my questions right away and made the rental experience a breeze.
